Singh "Tinku"

Right-arm pacer. Born in Chandigarh, raised on the Punjab circuit. Tinku represented India at the 1988 U-19 World Cup, trained at the MRF Pace Foundation under Dennis Lillee, and played first-class cricket for Punjab before a knee injury cut his playing career short. Two decades on, his coaching has shaped international and IPL careers.

    Born 4 March 1969 — began cricket on the maidans of Punjab.

    India U-19 World Cup
    Opened bowling for India with Subroto Banerjee at the inaugural Youth World Cup in Australia. Took 7 wickets including England captain Mike Atherton — and bowled a famous over to a young Brian Lara.

    Ranji Trophy, Punjab
    Played first-class cricket for Punjab as a right-arm pacer.
